Curriculum for Undergraduate Degree in Tourism
The curriculum for the Undergraduate Degree in Tourism includes:
Curriculum by Course Type: Core, Compulsory, and Optional
- The curriculum is divided into core, compulsory, and optional subjects.
- Optional subjects are grouped into itineraries in the fourth year, offering a novel proposal in the design of optional subjects.
Optional Subjects and Paths
- The Bachelor's Degree in Tourism offers the possibility of choosing between two itineraries: Economics of the Tourism Enterprise and Tourism Destination Planning and Management.
- Students can take the 12 credits of the A electives of the chosen pathway and the remaining 30 credits.
- Alternatively, students can take 30 credits of the optional subjects B of the chosen pathway, or 24 credits of the optional subjects B of the chosen pathway plus 6 credits for participation in cultural, sports, student representation, solidarity, and cooperation activities.
Implementation Schedule
- The implementation of the new University of Alicante Degree in Tourism course began in the academic year 2010/2011.
- The Diploma in Tourism was phased out, replaced by the new Degree.
