University Master's Degree in Public Health
The University Master's Degree in Public Health is a postgraduate program designed for individuals with a background in health sciences, statistics, psychology, sociology, anthropology, economics, engineering, law, education, and teaching, or journalism.
Admission Profile
The ideal candidate for this program holds a degree in a field related to health sciences, such as medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, nutrition, food science and technology, podology, or labor relations. However, candidates with degrees in other relevant fields will also be considered.
Entrance Requirements
To be eligible for admission, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Spanish official graduate degree certificate or an equivalent degree from an institution of higher education within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
- Hold an officially approved foreign higher education degree certificate that has been recognized as equivalent to a Spanish degree.
- Hold a university degree certificate obtained in a university or higher education institution outside the EHEA, without prior approval of their studies.
- Students enrolled in an undergraduate program at a university in the EHEA or in a university system with which an equivalence agreement is in force may be admitted on a conditional basis.
Admission Criteria
The selection of students for the Master's Degree will be based on their curriculum vitae, including their academic record and professional experience related to public health. A minimum number of places will be reserved for Resident Medical Interns in Preventive Medicine and Public Health from the Valencian Community.

The number of available places for the program is 20 per academic year.
Credit Recognition and Transfer
The University of Alicante Regulations on Credit Recognition and Transfer in Official Studies is currently in the process of adaptation to Royal Decree 822/2021. Recognition is understood as the acceptance of credits obtained in official courses, and transfer refers to the credits that do not lead to the awarding of an official degree.
