Entrance Requirements
To have access to this official taught Master's degree, the following requirements must be complied with:
- Be in possession of a Spanish official graduate degree certificate or other issued by an institution of higher education within the EHEA (European Higher Education) that enables the holder to have access to Master's degrees in the issuing.
- Be in possession of an officially approved foreign higher education degree certificate that had been recognised as equal to the degree that allows access to the requested studies.
- Be in possession of a university degree certificate obtained in a University or Higher Education Institution of countries outside the EHEA, without the prior approval of their studies.
- Students enrolled in an undergraduate programme at a university in the EHEA or in a university system with which an equivalence agreement is in force may be admitted on a conditional basis.
Admission Criteria
The admission process involves the following steps:
- Students who meet the requirements for access to official university Master's degree courses may apply for admission to any of the courses of this type offered at the university.
- The Master's Degree Academic Committee will be the body responsible for selecting students for admission.
- The following elements will be taken into account in the assessment of merits for admission to the Master's Degree:
- Degree in Advertising and Public Relations: 1 point.
- Degree in Journalism and degree in Audiovisual Communication: 0.75 points.
- Other social science degrees: 0.5 points.
- Knowledge of languages (max. 0.75 points): English B1: 0.25; English B2: 0.5; English C1 and C2: 0.75 points.
- A document accrediting the level of the language must be provided, according to the University of Alicante equivalence table.
Pre-registration and Registration
Students interested in studying an officially recognised Master's Degree at the UA must fill in a pre-enrolment application within the deadlines and terms established annually in the corresponding call for applications. Following publication of the final list of those admitted to the course, an email containing a user password will be sent to successful applicants, enabling them to enrol via the Campus Virtual.
Number of Places
The number of places available for the Master's Degree in Digital Communication is 35 per course.
Credit Recognition and Transfer
The recognition of credits is the acceptance by a university of credits that, having been obtained in official courses, in the same or another university, are counted in other different ones for the purpose of obtaining an official degree. Specific criteria are indicated in each Master's degree report, and students who have passed the "Course of University Expert in Social Networks, Strategy and Digital Communication" at the University of Alicante will be entitled to the recognition of the optional subject: Social Media of 3 credits.
