Program Overview

MÃster Universitario en Biomedicina

The MÃster Universitario en Biomedicina is a postgraduate program offered by the Universidad de Alicante.

Perfil de Ingreso

The program is aimed at graduates in experimental sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, etc.) and health sciences (Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Nutrition, Veterinary Medicine, etc.).

Requisitos de Acceso

To access the program, students must meet the following requirements:

1. Hold a Spanish official university degree or another degree issued by a higher education institution in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that qualifies for access to master's degree programs.
2. Hold a foreign higher education degree that has been homologated to a Spanish degree that allows access to the desired program.
3. Hold a university degree obtained in a non-EHEA country, without the need for homologation, but with the requirement of an equivalency report issued by the Universidad de Alicante.

Criterios de Admisiµn

The admission criteria for the program are as follows:

• For the general quota, the overall grade in the student's academic transcript will be considered. In case of a tie, the student who completed their degree in the shortest time will be prioritized. If the tie persists, the Academic Committee of the Master's program will make the final decision through a personal interview with the candidates.
• For the remaining places, the criteria will consider the student's academic transcript (6 points), research experience (3 points), and professional experience (1 point), according to the scale approved by the Academic Committee of the Master's program.

Preinscripciµn y MatrÚcula

The pre-enrollment and enrollment process for the program is as follows:

• Pre-enrollment: Interested students must submit a pre-enrollment application within the established deadlines, exclusively through UACloud.
• Enrollment: After the publication of the definitive lists of admitted students, an email will be sent with a password to enroll through the Campus Virtual.

Oferta de Plazas

The program offers 20 places, with 14 places reserved for graduates in scientific-technical degrees related to Biology or Health Sciences who completed their studies in the last five academic years. The remaining 6 places are for graduates in the same disciplines who do not meet the previous requirement.

Adaptaciµn

A procedure for adapting students from existing programs to the new program is established, including a table of adaptation of credits from previous programs to the new Master's program in Biomedicina.

Reconocimiento y Transferencia de CrÕditos

The Universidad de Alicante has a regulation for the recognition and transfer of credits in official studies. The recognition of credits will be carried out according to the following rules:

• Credits obtained in official studies at the Universidad de Alicante or other universities can be recognized, provided that they are related to the competencies of the Master's program.
• The experience laboral and professional acreditated can be also recognized in form of credits.
• The number of recognized credits cannot exceed 15% of the total credits of the program, except in cases where the corresponding title has been extinguished and replaced by an official title.
