Doctoral Program in Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport

Objectives and Competencies

The program aims to provide students with advanced training in research methods and techniques in the field of physical activity and sport.

Structure

The program includes:

• Common Formative Activities: Mandatory for all doctoral students.
• Specific Formative Activities: Obligatory and optional activities tailored to the program.
• Complementary Training: Additional courses or activities that students may need to complete based on their previous studies.
• International Cotutelle: The possibility of conducting research at the University of Alicante and another foreign university through an international cotutelle agreement.
• Tasks of the Doctoral Student: Planning of tasks, commitment to the code of good practices, and annual research and training plan.
• Mentions: Industrial mention, international mention.
• Thesis: Information on requirements, language, deadlines, deposit, defense, and archiving in the repository.
• Normative: Royal Decree 99/2011, of January 28, regulating official doctoral studies, and other relevant regulations.

Activitats Formatives Transversals

• Recognition of common transversal activities, only in the case of having taken activities with the same content in another doctoral program regulated by RD 99/2011.

Cotutela Internacional

• The research training of the doctoral student can be carried out at the University of Alicante and another foreign university through an international cotutelle agreement.
