Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the program, applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in music or a related field, as well as a passed admission test. The admission test consists of two parts:
- A written presentation of approximately 500 words that describes the motivation for studying and thoughts on the topic for the Master's thesis.
- A practical test where the applicant, based on a given topic, will teach a group of students in the subject of hearing education. This is followed by an interview.

Description of the Study
The core elements of the study are hearing education and teaching. Other music theoretical subjects relevant to the main area of study will also have a significant place in the study program. These subjects include piano playing, harmony, and musical analysis.

Teaching and Examination
The study is campus-based with 8 gatherings of 3 days each in both study years. The teaching will be in groups and individually. Central to the didactic subjects is the connection between didactic theory and practical-didactic skills.
Practice
Some subjects include mandatory practice described in the individual course plan. The practice consists of observation of teaching at different levels, individual and group practice, as well as self-practice. The scope is 40-50 hours.
Exchange
There are opportunities for exchange in the 3rd and/or 4th semester. The Music Conservatory has relevant quality-assured agreements on exchange with institutions such as the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, the Royal Danish Academy of Music, and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.
