EUGLOH Certificate of Advanced Studies in Global Health

The EUGLOH Certificate of Advanced Studies in Global Health programme addresses the complex interrelationships between health, the environment, and society. It offers highly motivated students the opportunity to engage in dialogue with different disciplines in the global health sector during their studies, preparing them for careers in study, research, and practice to improve health and achieve health equity for all people worldwide.

Programme Aims

The certificate programme aims for students to:


  • Outline the basic concept of Global Health and distinguish it from other approaches to Health
  • Recognise the intersection between health, environment, and society and integrate the different disciplinary perspectives into practice
  • Apply different media skills in the process of acquiring and utilising knowledge in Global Health
  • Engage in international teamwork and assess the best course of action
  • Design a research project based on the interdisciplinary competences in Global Health
  • Employ diverse scientific methods to solve Global Health problems

Content and Methodology

The programme is designed for Master students, PhD students, or students in their 7th semester or higher in undergraduate programmes longer than 6 semesters. The application consists of filling in the online application form and uploading the following documents:


  • Current certificate of enrolment stating that you belong to one of the EUGLOH universities or any other institution within the CIH Network
  • Short essay (about 750 words) on a given subject
  • Either Bachelor's certificate including transcript of records or transcript of records of your current studies (min. 180 ECTS or equivalent) for those in study programmes longer than 6 semesters

What are the implications of climate change on global health outcomes in your region/context? Please give a concrete example and a personal stance on interventions related to this.
