Master's Program in History

The Master's program in History at UiT The Arctic University of Norway is a two-year study program that provides students with in-depth knowledge of historical issues, methods, and theories. The program is designed to equip students with advanced skills in research, analysis, and critical thinking, as well as the ability to handle and systematize large amounts of historical information.


Program Description

The program combines specialized knowledge with practical skills, including a mandatory internship in the first semester, which provides students with insight into how history is used in the workplace, such as in museums, archives, media, or public administration. The program also offers the opportunity for exchange in the third semester, allowing students to broaden their perspectives internationally.
