SPA-6011 Immersion in Spanish grammar for teachers

You will receive a reduction in the number of credits if you sit the exam in this subject and have previously passed the following subject(s):

- SPA-2012 Collection-based practical Spanish III with grammar 5 credits
- SPA-2250 Online immersion in Spanish grammar and literature 5 credits
Contents
The course refreshes previous knowledge and deepens topics that are relevant to those who teach Spanish:
- Use of the verbs ser and estar with particular emphasis on contexts where both verbs can occur.
- Use of verb tenses in the indicative with emphasis on the use of the past tense and imperfect tense.
- Use of the subjunctive and verb tenses in the subjunctive.
- Verbal periphrases.
- Use of articles.
- Placement of adjectives.
- Use of the preposition a before direct object.
- Word order and information structure. The subject also provides an overview of key syntactic terms that are necessary to understand grammatical explanations.

- state the syntactic function of the words.
Teaching and examination language

Teaching
The teaching is offered both physically on the campus in Tromsø and digitally in real time, and consists of lectures and exercises linked to the lectures. It is assumed that students work regularly during the entire semester. For students who cannot participate in the teaching, digital material is offered on the Canvas learning platform and digital guidance.

Mandatory work requirements
The following work requirements must be completed and approved before you can sit for the exam:
- Two written assignments of 3-5 pages which are delivered by the set deadline. The work requirements are evaluated with approved / not approved.

Continuation exams are arranged for students who have not passed the last ordinary exam in this subject.
