Program Overview
The Utviklingsprogram for Masterveiledere is a development program designed to strengthen the competence of master's thesis supervisors. The program provides insight into both practical supervision approaches, current theory, and research on master's thesis supervision.

Program Description
The program has a process-oriented and collegiate working form where participants focus on their own development needs, reflection on their own practice, and mutual observation of master's thesis supervision. The program includes several mandatory and voluntary gatherings, digital learning resources, development work in cross-faculty teams, and three work requirements.
Admission Requirements
To participate in the development program, the following requirements must be met:
- You must have UiT - The Arctic University of Norway as your main employer.
- You must supervise one or more candidates, either as a main or co-supervisor at the time the program starts and throughout the program period.
Requirements for Completion
To receive a certificate of completion, the following requirements must be met:
- Participation in two mandatory day gatherings and presentation at a shorter digital workshop.
- Work requirements are completed in a smaller supervised team, including mutual observation of master's thesis supervision within the team.
- One written work requirement must be submitted and approved.
Program Structure
The program consists of:
- Work with content and tasks in the web-based part of the program, as well as reading of subject literature.
- Mandatory participation in gatherings and a final workshop.
- Individual and group work with work requirements.
- Submission of two written work requirements and one oral presentation.
- Discussion of program content with other participants.
Program Scope
The program's scope is approximately 60 hours.
