Introduction to the Oriel College Visiting Student Program

The Oriel College Visiting Student Program is a collaborative effort between our university and Oriel College, Oxford University. This program offers our undergraduate students the opportunity to study at Oxford University and experience the academic atmosphere and college culture of a world-renowned institution.

Program Details

• The program is open to undergraduate students in their second or third year of study.
• Students can apply for one semester (Michaelmas Term, October to December), two semesters (Hilary and Trinity Terms, January to June), or a full academic year (October to June).
• To ensure academic continuity and a comprehensive learning experience, students are advised to apply for at least two semesters.

The program offers a wide range of courses, including:

• Law
• Mathematics

• Politics
• Students can choose courses from up to two subject areas, with a maximum of two papers per semester.
• Course selection is final and cannot be changed after confirmation.

Fees and Expenses

• The estimated tuition fee for a full academic year is ｣37,075.
• Additional fees apply for experimental courses (STEM subjects), approximately ｣12,250.
• Accommodation is arranged by the college, and fees are paid separately.

Application Requirements

To be eligible for the program, students must:

• Be full-time undergraduate students in their second or third year of study.
• Have a strong academic record, with a GPA of 3.8 or above.
• Meet the English language requirements, with an IELTS score of 7.5 or above (no less than 7.0 in each component).

Application Procedure

1. Internal Application: Students must submit their applications through the university's online platform by January 20, 2026, including:
   • Official transcripts
   • English language proficiency certificates
2. Project Registration: By March 1, 2026, students must submit the following materials:
   • Oriel College Visiting Student Program application form
   • Personal statement (approximately 500 words)
   • Official English language proficiency certificate
   • Two academic writing samples related to the chosen subject area
   • Passport copy

Course Credits and Evaluation

• Before departing, students must complete a study plan and submit it to the university's academic system for approval.
• During the program, students must ensure that their courses are transferable to their home university.
• Any changes to the course schedule must be reported to the university in a timely manner.
