CT Surgery Stipend and Benefits
The following resident stipends are set for the academic year July 1, 2025, until June 30, 2026:
- PGY1: $61,935
- PGY2: $64,151

Additional Benefits
The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery additionally provides:
- Educational Travel: In the final three years of the six-year program, residents attend one major cardiothoracic surgical meeting yearly, with expenses paid by the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Provision of Surgical Loupes: The CT Surgery Division provides loupes for each of the residents upon entering the program.
- Society of Thoracic Surgeons Membership: The CT Surgery Division sponsors candidate membership of its residents in the Society of Thoracic Surgeons each year of their training.
- Self-Education Self-Assessment in Thoracic Surgery (SESATS): The CT Surgery Division reimburses its residents for the purchase of SESATS.
