Program Overview

Med-Peds Residents

The Med-Peds program at MUSC has a strong reputation for producing well-rounded physicians. The program is designed to provide residents with a comprehensive education in both internal medicine and pediatrics.

Fourth Year Residents

• Brooke Hisrich, M.D., Med-Peds Chief Resident: Hometown - Canton, Ohio; Medical School - University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville; Undergraduate - Clemson University. Favorite things about Charleston include the weather, beaches, rich history, and food scene. Career/Research Interests - Pediatric Critical Care fellowship. • Austin Lewis, M.D., Med-Peds Chief Resident: Hometown - Columbia, SC; Medical School - Medical University of South Carolina; Undergraduate - University of South Carolina. • Danielle Rangel Paradela, M.D.: Hometown - Cienfuegos, Cuba; Medical School - Wayne State University School of Medicine; Undergraduate - York University, Ontario Canada. Favorite things about Charleston - Delicious restaurants, beautiful beaches, sunny weather, and friendly people. Career/Research Interests - GI, continuity of care for those with IBD.
