Entry Requirements

UK Entry Requirements

• A Masters degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as a health science or a social science
• Alternatively, advanced research skills developed through an alternative route
• A well-developed research proposal is essential
• Normally required to attend an interview/Skype interview for acceptance
• Acceptance is subject to research expertise in the department

International & EU Entry Requirements

• A wide range of qualifications from applicants studying in the EU and other countries are accepted
• English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 overall or equivalent

Structure

• A research degree doesn't have a taught structure, giving students the chance to investigate their chosen topic in real depth
• Students have access to Masters-level research methods modules to provide a sound foundation of specific research knowledge and skills
• The University's Proficio research training scheme allows students to choose training programs that meet the requirements of their own research topics and methodologies

Fees and Funding

• Home/UK fee: ｣5,238 per year
• International fee: ｣20,625 per year
• Fees will increase for each academic year of study
• Scholarships, bursaries, or discounts may be available to help with the cost of the course

• The School of Health and Social Care has a number of registered Occupational Therapists who are also research supervisors
• Students are provided with clinical awareness and guidance alongside the scientific rigor necessary to undertake the MPhil
