Overview
The MSc (by Dissertation) Social Work offers a unique opportunity to undertake research in a variety of social and health contexts. The program allows students to investigate their chosen topic in real depth and reach a profound understanding. Students will have access to the University's Proficio research training scheme, which provides training programs that meet the requirements of their own research topics and methodologies.
Entry Requirements
- A good honours degree, or equivalent, in a related discipline is required.
- A well-developed research proposal is also essential.
- International students must meet the English language requirements, which include an IELTS score of 6.5, with a minimum of 5.5 in all other components.
Structure
- The program is offered on a 1-year full-time or 2-year part-time basis, plus up to one year of completion.
- A research degree doesn't have a taught structure, giving students the chance to investigate their chosen topic in real depth.
- Students will have access to the University's research training scheme and will be guided by experienced supervisors.
Fees and Funding
- Home/UK fee: Ł5,238 per year
- International fee: Ł20,625 per year
- Fees will increase for each academic year of study.
