The MA (by Dissertation) Theatre Studies is a postgraduate research course offered by the University of Essex. Entry Requirements

UK Entry Requirements

  • A 2:1 or above (or international equivalent) in a relevant subject such as creative writing, theatre/drama studies, literature, film and media studies, modern languages, and art history.
  • Normally, an interview/Skype interview is required for acceptance, and acceptance is subject to research expertise in the department.

English Language Requirements

  • If English is not the first language, an IELTS 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in writing and a minimum score of 5.5 in all other components is required.
