Course Details: Economic Data Analysis

Introduction

Companies and governments intervene in markets with specific goals, making various interventions. Discovering the effects and consequences of these interventions is not straightforward due to the complexity and interconnectedness of social phenomena. This course discusses aspects of the revolution in causal identification methods and the expansion of data use to discover the consequences of these interventions. Data-driven decision making requires accurate reading of data to extract useful lessons from past actions and pursue social or corporate goals more effectively. This course presents selected data analysis methods, including randomized experiments, multivariate regression, difference-in-difference, and regression discontinuity.
