Introduction to the Summer Business Academy

The Summer Business Academy is an immersive, three-day program offered by Marquette Business, designed for rising 10th to 12th-grade students. This program provides an impactful opportunity for high school students to explore business disciplines, network with industry partners, and work closely with esteemed faculty.

Program Details

• The Summer Business Academy will take place from June 22–24.
• Each day of the academy will focus on a specific area of business, including:
  • Management
  • Operations and supply chain
  • Marketing
• Students will participate in hands-on workshops led by Marquette University faculty, followed by visits to area organizations to see each concept at work in the real world.
• The program follows a day camp format, with an 8 a.m. drop off and 5 p.m. pick-up each day at Dr. E. J. and Margaret O'Brien Hall on the Marquette University campus.

Admission and Fees

• The program is designed for rising 10th to 12th-grade students, although ninth-graders will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Up to 50 students will be admitted on a first-come, first-accepted basis.
• The registration cost is $500, which includes:
  • Light breakfast
  • Lunch
  • Learning materials
  • Activity fees

• The Summer Business Academy is co-directed by:
  • Manoj Babu, Assistant Professor of Practice in Management
  • Kaitlyn Keizer, Assistant Professor of Practice in Accounting
