The Main Library of the Warsaw University of Technology invites participants to a workshop titled "Develop Your Research Portfolio: An IEEE Workshop".

About the Workshop

The workshop is organized in collaboration with IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), a leading international scientific publisher and technical association that publishes thousands of scientific articles in the fields of engineering, technology, and exact sciences.

Topics Covered

The workshop will cover the following topics:

• Strategies for research using the IEEE Xplore Digital Library
• Methods for increasing the visibility and impact of research results
• Tips and best practices for increasing the chances of scientific publication
• Criteria for selecting the appropriate journal for submitting an article
• Reasons for publishing in open-access journals
• Open-access publication options available to authors and institutions
• Tools for authors to promote the idea of open science

Speakers

The workshop will be led by:

• Eszter Lukßcs, IEEE Client Services Manager, responsible for supporting authors and institutions in using IEEE resources and services
• Josh Horowitz, International Area Manager for Central & Northern Europe and Israel, an expert in scientific publishing and strategies for increasing research visibility in Central and Northern Europe and Israel
