TRIO Upward Bound Program

The TRIO Upward Bound program is a federally funded initiative hosted by North Dakota State University, designed to provide holistic and year-round supportive services to students.

Program Purpose

The purpose of the program is to help prepare and motivate income-eligible and/or first-generation students to be successful in high school and attend post-secondary education at a college or university of their choosing.

The program consists of three main elements:

• Academic year services
• Summer program
• Summer bridge after high school graduation

Program Benefits

By participating in Upward Bound events, students can earn money (up to $40/month during the academic year and additional compensation for participation in the Upward Bound Summer Program) while growing and learning.
