The Doctor of Musical Arts Performance program at NDSU offers specialized instruction in various instruments, including Clarinet, Percussion, Piano, Collaborative Piano, Saxophone, Trumpet, and Voice. The piano program, in particular, provides individualized instruction, recognizing that success as a pianist depends on tailored guidance.

Audition Process
Applicants to the NDSU Piano Performance program can participate in either live auditions or submit a video audition. The audition program should be substantial and varied, showcasing the pianistic strengths of the applicant. No specific repertoire guidelines are necessary.
Performance Opportunities
Pianists in the M.M. and D.M.A. programs may be invited to perform in the NDSU Chamber Music Festival upon recommendation from the faculty.
