Overview
The Global Business program is offered as a secondary major only, requiring students to declare and be admitted into one of the College of Business' primary major programs. The program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of global business principles, practices, and environments.

- Primary Major Requirement: Students must declare and be admitted into one of the College of Business' primary major programs, including Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, or Marketing.
- Core Requirement:
- FIN 320: Principles of Finance (3 credits)
- MGMT 320: Foundations of Management (3 credits)
- MRKT 320: Foundations of Marketing (3 credits)
- MIS 320: Management Information Systems (3 credits)
- BUSN 430: Legal and Social Environment of Business (3 credits)
- BUSN 340: International Business (3 credits)

- Language Proficiency Requirement: A second-year, college-level language proficiency is required. Completion of any 300 or 400-level language course with a grade of B or higher will also fulfill this requirement.
- Study Abroad Requirement: Students must participate in a study abroad experience that includes an academic component related to the country where the study abroad takes place. Options include:
- BUSN 341: Global Business Environment
- BUSN 379: Global Seminar

Degree Notes
- Course Suggestions: Students are encouraged to take ANTH 111 (Introduction to Anthropology) or COMM 216 (Intercultural Communication) as a general education cultural diversity requirement option. GEOG 161 (World Regional Geography) is also recommended as an elective.
- International Students: International students enrolled at NDSU are not required to complete a study abroad experience. Instead, they must complete one of the following North American history courses: HIST 382, 421, 422, 423, 424, 425, 429, 431, 434, 436, 437, or 476. This history course will substitute for the BUSN 341 "Global Business Environment" or equivalent study abroad course in the program requirement.
