Introduction

Pesticide certification is the process by which an individual becomes certified to apply restricted-use pesticides. The application of restricted-use pesticides in the U.S. without certification is illegal and punishable by U.S. law. Certification differs between private and commercial applicators.

Program Details

Certification Types

• Private certification is for individuals who apply restricted-use pesticides for their own use.
• Commercial certification is for individuals who apply restricted-use pesticides for hire or as part of their job.
