Program Overview
GTK Nagyköveti Program
The GTK Nagyköveti Program is an initiative of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics' Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences (GTK) aimed at promoting internationalization and fostering partnerships with foreign universities. The program allows GTK faculty members and administrative staff to visit partner universities abroad, establish connections, and explore opportunities for joint projects, research, and knowledge sharing.
Program Details
- The program was launched in February 2023, and since then, 16 ambassadors have represented the GTK in 9 countries, including Finland, Norway, Romania, Austria, Cyprus, France, Spain, Ireland, and Belgium.
- In 2024, a similar number of colleagues participated in the program, with 11 mobility events taking place, including visits to the Netherlands and Finland to learn about innovative teaching methods and conduct joint research.
- The program has enabled GTK faculty members to share their knowledge and experiences with foreign students and to bring back new insights and methods to incorporate into their teaching and research at the GTK.
- Administrative staff have also participated in the program, attending language training and exchanging experiences with colleagues in similar roles at partner universities.
Program Financing
The program is financed by the "RRF-2.1. azonosítószámú, Gyakorlatorientált felsfokú képzések infrastrukturális -és készségfejlesztése a BME-n" project.
Future Plans
As of January-February 2025, 9 mobility events have already been agreed upon, indicating a strong continuation of the program's success. The faculty looks forward to another year of active participation and exchange, further strengthening its international connections and contributing to the professional development of its staff and the quality of education offered to its students.
