The Korszer explosion safety technology knowledge refresher program (11-012) is a refresher course offered by the BME Engineering Advanced Training Institute. The program aims to provide participants with updated knowledge on modern explosion safety techniques.

Program Content

The program covers various topics, including:

• Changes in domestic and European regulations related to explosion safety since the completion of the "Explosion safety technique" or "Korszer explosion safety technique" courses.
• Professional novelties:
  • Documentation obligations.
  • Lifetime tracking.
  • Explosion safety in renewable energy production.
  • Explosion safety in nuclear energy production.
  • Explosion safety issues in e-mobility.
  • Challenges in hydrogen technology.
  • Special protective solutions (special geometries, special locations and environments, highly sensitive systems).
  • Special project experiences.

Program Structure

• The program consists of 18 hours of instruction, divided into two 9-hour sessions.
• The program is offered online, with the following technical requirements:
  • Adobe Connect:
    • At least 5 Mbps/2 Mbps internet connection.
    • Fixed or mobile device (PC, workstation, laptop, tablet, smartphone).
    • Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, or Linux operating system.
    • Functional microphone and speaker, preferably a headset.
    • Webcam recommended, mandatory for online oral exams.
  • Moodle e-learning platform:
    • At least 2 Mbps/1 Mbps internet connection.
    • Fixed or mobile device (PC, workstation, laptop, tablet, smartphone).
    • Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, or Android operating system.
    • Internet browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).

Certification

Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of attendance, which fulfills the standard and legal requirements for refresher training in explosion safety.

The program will be held at the BME Mérnöktovabbképz Institute, 1111 Budapest, Egry József u. 1. E building, XI floor.
