Program Objective

The objective of this program is to familiarize real estate valuation professionals, who do not have a background in agricultural economics, with the evaluation practices and specific legal environments of forests and plantations.

• Special aspects of yield calculation, differences, and similarities with yield calculations in the built environment
• The significance of the time factor in yield calculations (delays, additional costs in investments, and factors influencing yields during the useful life)
• Life cycles and life-cycle-related calculation elements
• The importance of management in timber production, timber yield in different forest areas
• Yield curves in plantations
• Special depreciation of plantations

• Real estate valuation professionals without an agricultural economics background

• Higher education degree
• Practical experience in land valuation is an advantage
