Program Overview


Introduction to the Hidroinformatika and Vízgazdálkodás Program

The Hidroinformatika and Vízgazdálkodás program is offered by the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering.


Program Description

The program aims to provide advanced training for professionals working in water management and hydraulic engineering, focusing on modeling, forecasting, and data management. The curriculum is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of participants in the field of water management, with a special emphasis on the integrated application of modern methods.


Target Audience

The program is recommended for professionals working in water management, including those involved in impact assessments, design, research and development, and field measurements, as well as middle and senior managers.


Program Structure

The program consists of three semesters, with concentrated contact hours (4 x 3 days per semester). In the third semester, students will prepare a thesis, which must be successfully defended to obtain a certificate. Participants will automatically fulfill the continuing education requirements of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers.


Admission Requirements

The program will be launched if a minimum of 15 students apply (target number: 20 students). The application deadline is August 1, 2022.
