Introduction to the Sustainable Communities Studio
The Sustainable Communities Studio is one of the three design and research studios of the Department of Public Building Design. It focuses on sustainable models that meet the needs of various communities, considering the role of the architect and specific architectural solutions.
Studio Overview
The studio's primary responsibility is to create community projects that enhance social presence and sustainability, particularly for disadvantaged or segregated communities. The approach is characterized by community dialogue and a close follow-up of community life. Assessing community needs, getting acquainted with them, and showing a proactive attitude are essential in this type of architecture.
