Course Description

The course covers deep foundation technologies and deep construction structures, including:


  • Application cases for deep foundations
  • Mechanisms influencing load transfer
  • Load-bearing capacity based on sounding test results
  • Gravel piles
  • Practical application of diaphragm walls
  • Open and closed method constructions and insulations
  • Pedestrian underpasses
  • Design issues for underground garages
  • Insulation
  • Examination of bottom stability
  • Public utility tunnels, pipe jacking, and shield tunnel construction
