Introduction to the Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management
The Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management (KWS) at The University of Memphis was created and named after the founder of Holiday Inns, Kemmons Wilson, Sr. KWS offers a balance of academics and experiential learning in the hospitality, resort, and tourism business, stressing global awareness, diversity, and sustainability.
Program Overview
Our program provides an education stemming from the roots of hospitality and is designed to prepare students for a 21st-century career in one of the largest industries of the world. Field experience provides students with learning while working in a variety of settings, such as:

- Marriott Hotels and Resorts
- Hilton Hotels
- Peabody Hotel Group
- Caesars Entertainment
- A myriad of other hotels, restaurants, resorts, sport, and tourism businesses
