The College of Health Sciences offers various undergraduate and graduate programs.
Accelerated Bachelor to Master Program (ABM)
The Accelerated Bachelor to Master (ABM) program allows qualified undergraduates to simultaneously earn credits toward completion of both bachelor's and master's degrees. Students may earn up to 12 graduate credit hours toward the requirements of both their undergraduate and graduate degrees. The ABM process is entered by the Registrar's Office as institutional credit. Undergraduate tuition will be assessed for both undergraduate and graduate courses for an undergraduate student who is taking part in the ABM program.

- Dietetics to Nutrition Science
- Exercise, Sport & Movements Sciences (ESMS) to ESMS
- Health Sciences to Lifestyle Medicine
Eligibility
To be eligible for the ABM program, students must:
- Complete at least 18 hours of course work at the University of Memphis before taking courses as part of the ABM program
- Have a GPA of ≥ 3.25
- Be within 40 semester hours of graduation
Process
The process for applying to the ABM program involves the following steps:
- Gain approval from a faculty member within the student's concentration to be their mentor for the program.
- Complete the ABM application.
- The advisor approves the application, and the form automatically forwards to the program's undergraduate/graduate Unit Coordinator(s).
- The Unit Coordinator(s) confirms with the faculty mentor, approves the application, and automatically forwards it to the Director of Academic Programs.
- The Director of Academic Programs approves the application.
- Schedule an appointment with the academic advisor to finalize program acceptance.
Deadlines
The deadlines for applying to the ABM program are:
- April 15 for Fall admission
- October 15 for Spring admission
- April 15 for Summer admission
