Program Overview
University Programs
The university offers several programs for students to gain international experience and knowledge.
Study Abroad Programs
The Study Abroad Programs provide students with the opportunity to attend lectures by local professors at overseas universities, increasing their understanding of foreign law. The program typically lasts 1-2 weeks, and upon completion, students can earn 1 credit for the "Foreign Law Study" course.
Internship Programs
The Internship Programs allow students to participate in internships at overseas law firms, working with local lawyers on cases. The program usually lasts 3-4 weeks, and upon completion, students can earn 1 credit for the "Law Practice" course.
LL.M Course Support Program
The LL.M Course Support Program is designed for current and graduated students, providing support for studying abroad at partner universities, including:
- University of California, Hastings College of the Law
- University of Indiana, Maurer School of Law
Admission Requirements
- The program is open to graduate students and graduates of the law school.
- TOEFL PBT 600 points / CBT 250 points or iBT 90 points or higher, or IELTS 7.0 or higher.
- Students who have completed 2 or more semesters in the master's or doctoral program can apply.
- Graduates who have passed the bar exam within the last year can also apply.
Scholarship Benefits
- 50% tuition waiver for the LL.M course
- Scholarship payment for the LL.M course (up to $6,000-$10,000)
Application and Admission Schedule
- Students must apply to the university's student support center by the end of February.
- Selected students will directly apply to the partner university, with assistance from the student support center.
Program Participation and Selection
- The selection process is based on English interviews and other materials (resumes, personal statements, etc.).
- The program duration varies, but the Study Abroad Program typically lasts 2 weeks or less, the Internship Program lasts 4 weeks or less, and the Student Exchange Program typically lasts one semester.
Program Costs
- The university supports airfare costs.
- Other costs, such as living expenses, education fees, and accommodation fees, are borne by the student.
- Detailed costs and schedules will be announced separately.
Pre-Departure Education
- Students selected for the Study Abroad Program will receive pre-departure education on the courses they will take at the partner university.
- The pre-departure education will be conducted under the guidance of the professor in charge.
