The Environmental Design program is rooted in the fundamental task of "establishing virtue and fostering talent," with a student-centered approach that adheres to the basic requirements of "four returns." This program leverages the university's nationally recognized disciplines in environmental science, ecology, landscape architecture, and materials science to implement a talent cultivation model driven by projects, tasks, and the integration of industry, academia, and research.
Program Objectives
The program focuses on the functional, ecological, and visual design of human settlements, practicing the concept of ecological civilization and cultivating innovative, application-oriented talent for the environmental art and ecological landscape design industries. The objectives include:
- Fostering comprehensive development in morals, intelligence, physique, and aesthetics
- Enhancing high-level foreign language proficiency and broad international perspectives
- Developing advanced artistic appreciation and innovative thinking capabilities
- Mastering systematic design foundation theories and methods
- Proficiently utilizing various design software
- Familiarizing students with design, construction, and management-related professional knowledge
- Equipping students with basic scientific research capabilities and excellent comprehensive qualities
Program Outcomes
Upon completion of the program, graduates are expected to be able to comprehensively apply environmental design theories and methods, along with forward-thinking design ideas, to conduct overall project design and applied research. The program aims to produce application-oriented talent who can meet the needs of economic and social development, with a strong foundation in design principles, professional knowledge, and research capabilities.
