Kinesiology

The Kinesiology program is designed to prepare students for careers in health-related fitness professions for youth, adult, and geriatric populations, military/tactical, and athletic performance.

Career Pathways

• Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist
  • This pathway prepares students for possible certifications in personal training and strength and conditioning by national organizations such as ACSM and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
• Fitness and physical performance-related professions are expected to continue to grow during the next two decades.
• According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, overall employment in healthcare occupations is projected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations from 2023 to 2033.
• About 1.9 million openings are projected each year, on average, in these occupations due to employment growth and the need to replace workers who leave the occupations permanently.
