Program Overview
Computer Science Bachelor's to Master's
The Computer Science Bachelor's to Master's program is designed to encourage outstanding UMass Lowell undergraduate degree students to continue their studies towards an advanced degree. Qualified students may transition to the Bachelor's-to-Master's Degree Option, which includes the Fast Track to Teaching and Plus 1 programs. Upon completion of this program, students earn both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees.
Benefits of the Program
The program carries distinct benefits, including:
- The ability to count some CS courses for both undergraduate and graduate degrees
- Exemption from taking the GRE when applying through the combined BS/MS program
Eligibility Requirements
Any UMass Lowell undergraduate junior or senior with a grade point average of 3.000 or better may apply to a Master's degree program at UMass Lowell under the Accelerated Bachelor's-to-Master's Degree Option. Transitioning to the Program
Undergraduate students are requested to apply to transition by submitting the application for transition. Students normally apply to transition in the second semester of their third year as an undergraduate, up until the last day of classes in their final semester before graduation.
