MATH.5200 Mathematical Problem Solving

Description

Focuses on: mathematical resources, ability to use heuristics, the student's beliefs about the use of mathematics to solve problems, and the student's self-confidence as a problem solver. Effective strategies for incorporating problem solving in the curriculum will also be discussed.

Prerequisites

• Pre-Req: MS Teacher Option only.
• Course prerequisites/corequisites are determined by the faculty and approved by the curriculum committees.
• Students are required to fulfill these requirements prior to enrollment.
• For courses offered through online or GPS delivery, students are responsible for confirming with the instructor or department that all enrollment requirements have been satisfied before registering.
