Program Overview
University Community Orchestra
The University Community Orchestra invites advanced beginners or skilled amateurs (ages 15 and older) to rehearse and perform together. It is open to anyone who can read music and enjoys playing classical symphonic and pops repertoire.
Instructor
The Orchestra is under the direction of Dr. Jun Kim, UWM Associate Professor. Dr. Jun Kim is the prize winner of the 2013 Orquesta de Cordoba Conducting Competition in Spain, the 2012 Black Sea Conducting Competition in Romania, and the winner of the 2015 American Prize in Opera Conducting. He has conducted extensively in North America and Europe.

Participation Requirements
Instrument selection is required at the time of registration. Participants must be registered prior to the start of rehearsals. No walk-ins are allowed. Participation will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once slots are filled, participants will be placed on a waiting list. Participants are required to bring their instrument to the first rehearsal.
