The Artificial Intelligence & Analytics for Business program is an undergraduate certificate designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze data, build machine learning models, and develop predictive and generative AI capabilities for businesses.

Program Description
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming every industry, from healthcare to finance, entertainment to manufacturing. By learning to work with data and artificial intelligence, students position themselves at the forefront of this revolution, preparing for careers in fields that will be in high demand.
Program Requirements
The program requires 15 credits. Students choose five courses from the following:
- BUS ADM 335 Introduction to Business Application Development
- BUS ADM 431 Introduction to Machine Learning for Business
- BUS ADM 435 Introduction to Artificial Intelligence for Business
- BUS ADM 437 Introduction to Social Media Analytics for Business
- BUS ADM 439 Information Technology Management Professional Internship*
- BUS ADM 533 Introduction to Connected Systems for Business
- BUS ADM 534 Information Technology Practicum*
- BUS ADM 536 Business Intelligence *Students may choose either BUS ADM 439 or BUS ADM 534 but not both.
Eligibility
The program is open to:
- Current Lubar undergraduate students
- Current UWM undergraduate students (non-Business Majors)
- Non-UWM students/community members who have previously received a bachelor's degree in business from an accredited college or university
Application Process
To apply, students must:
- Begin their application at the university's application portal
- Select 'Start Application'
- Answer a few additional questions, including:
- Are you a US Citizen?
- Have you graduated from high school/secondary school or earned your GED/HSED yet?
- Do you have any college/post-secondary experience?
- Are you returning to the Universities of Wisconsin campus that you attended before as a degree-seeking student?
- Choose their campus and desired program
- Select their start term
- Complete and submit the application
