Inclusive Early Childhood Education Program
The School of Education has received a $2.87 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education for an inclusive early childhood education program. The program offers dual certification in early childhood education and early childhood special education, as well as add-on certification for English as a Second Language and/or Bilingual Education.
Program Details
- The program is designed to support both students entering the teaching profession and teachers already in classrooms.
- The program will provide mentors to work with teachers.
- The program aims to build competency within each teacher candidate to teach all learners and work in a more affirming inclusive space.
Program Goals
- The program aims to increase achievement for English language learners.
- The program seeks to encourage more teachers from diverse backgrounds to become part of the profession.
- The program will work to give teachers the cultural background to recognize children with different languages and abilities as having unique assets.
Educational Administration and Supervision (Ed Admin) Program
The Educational Administration and Supervision (Ed Admin) Program offers information sessions for prospective students.
Program Information Sessions
