Program Overview


Public Health, MPH: Public Health Policy Overview

The Public Health MPH: Public Health Policy program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in public health policy, as well as practical experience in the application of public health policy principles to problems in public health.


Admission Requirements

Students are admitted to the Public Health MPH: Public Health Policy program based on admission requirements which are consistent with those specified by the UWM Graduate School and the Public Health MPH: Public Health Policy program.


Credits and Courses

Students accepted into the Public Health MPH: Public Health Policy program complete the following courses:


  • PHP 701: Introduction to Public Health Policy (1 credit)
  • PHP 702: Introduction to Public Health Policy (2 credits)
  • PHP 703: Introduction to Public Health Policy (3 credits)
    • PHP 711: Public Health Policy and Administration (1 credit)
    • PHP 712: Public Health Policy and Administration (2 credits)
    • PHP 713: Public Health Policy and Administration (3 credits)
  • PHP 721: Health Policy Analysis (1 credit)

Additional Requirements

  • Time Limit: Students in the Public Health MPH: Public Health Policy program must complete all degree requirements within three years of the first enrollment semester as a degree student.
