Introduction to the Engineering Management Master's Program
The Engineering Management Master's program, also known as Master of Engineering Management (MEM), was established in 2011 to cater to the growing demand for high-level engineering management professionals in China. This program aims to perfect the specialized talent cultivation system, innovate the engineering management talent cultivation model, and improve the quality of engineering management talent cultivation.
Program Overview
The MEM program is designed for individuals with at least three years of engineering management experience and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. The program is offered by the School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering at China University of Mining and Technology, which was one of the first institutions to be granted MEM enrollment qualifications.
Program Details
- The program has been successfully recruiting students for over 10 years, with a total of 157 students enrolled.
- The program passed the MEM professional degree authorization point special evaluation in 2015 and was approved as one of the first MEM professional degree and IPMP cooperative cultivation units in 2017.
- The program has a good enrollment momentum, with around 40 students enrolled each year.
- The program has been rated as a Jiangsu Province higher education characteristic professional construction point and a first-batch "Double Ten Thousand Plan" national first-class professional construction point.

Faculty and Research
- The program has 4 professors, 6 associate professors, and 6 lecturers, with 4 doctoral supervisors and 10 master's supervisors.

- The program has established MEM research student joint training bases with multiple construction industry enterprises and has hired over 40 senior engineers with rich engineering technology and management experience as part-time supervisors.
Research and Achievements
- The program's faculty members have undertaken over 20 national and provincial-level longitudinal research projects, 3 national MEM research student education research topics, and a large number of transverse research projects.
- They have received over 10 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research achievement awards and have published over 400 research papers.
- The program has also undertaken various construction engineer, registered supervising engineer training, and continuing education tasks, and has carried out social services such as engineering project management, construction supervision, engineering consulting, and engineering agency construction.
