Program Overview


Introduction to the Hi-Scientist Training Program

The Hi-Scientist Training Program is offered by the Center for the Development of Future Science and Technology at Hiroshima University's Faculty of Science. This program aims to support students with excellent motivation in the field of science and technology, and to further develop their abilities.


Program Overview

The program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to engage in open-ended learning, where they can explore and solve complex problems. The program consists of several courses, including:


  • Teaching seminars, where students can explore everyday problems in an open-ended manner
  • Global strategy seminars, where students can experience English communication using science as a theme
  • Science literacy courses, where students can learn about scientific communication in Japanese
  • Science English seminars, where students can challenge themselves to make poster presentations in English
  • Free topic research, where students can set their own research topics and explore them in a research laboratory

Program Structure

The program is structured as follows:


First Year

  • Teaching seminars: Exploring everyday problems in an open-ended manner
  • Global strategy seminars: Experiencing English communication using science as a theme

Second Year

  • Science literacy courses: Learning about scientific communication in Japanese
  • Science English seminars: Challenging oneself to make poster presentations in English

Third Year

Program Completion
