Program Overview


Introduction to the MBA ODL Program

The Master of Business Administration (Open and Distance Learning) program at AHIBS is designed for professionals who want to balance their career, personal commitments, and education without compromise. With the same rigorous structure and quality as our on-campus MBA, the ODL program ensures you achieve your goals on your terms.


Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the MBA ODL program, applicants must meet the following requirements:


  • An honors degree from UTM or other recognized universities or an equivalent academic qualification from an overseas establishment approved by the University Senate.
  • Minimum CGPA > 3.50 for fresh graduate or minimum CGPA > 3.00 with 2 years working experience or minimum CGPA 2.00 ≤99 with 5 years working experience.
  • Minimum English requirement (For International Candidates Only) IELTS ≥ Band 6.0 / TOEFL ≥ Score 60 / MUET ≥ Band 4.0

Program Duration

The program duration is 2 – 4 Years (4 – 8 Semesters).


Admission through Accreditation of Prior Experience Learning (APEL)

APEL A facilitates admission for Malaysian candidates who may not meet traditional academic entry requirements but possess substantial work experience. Eligibility criteria include:


  • More than 30 years of age in the year of application; and
  • STPM / Recognized Diploma / A-Levels / Equivalent; and
  • Relevant work experience / prior experiential learning; and
  • Pass the APEL Assessment (Aptitude Test, Portfolio & Interview)
