The university offers various programs for international students, including student exchange programs, research internships, and summer schools.
Requirements and Eligibility
To be eligible for the university's programs, students must:
- Be registered as an active student at their home university.
- Have a good command of the English language.
- Have a good health condition.
- Have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
- Be physically present at their home university at the time of application.
- Agree to enroll at the university as described in the program plan.
- Agree to abide by the university's rules and regulations.
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding of cultural differences.
- Demonstrate excellent personal skills.
- Agree to be responsible for the costs incurred.
- Participate in an interview session if necessary.
Application Procedures
The application process involves:
- Filling out the online application form.
- The university's international office reviewing and clarifying the application.
- The application being forwarded to the host faculty for review and approval.
- The issuance of an offer letter after faculty approval.

Visa Application
Incoming students are required to apply for a Single Entry Visa (SEV) at the Malaysian Embassy in their home country. To obtain the SEV, students need to apply for a Visa Approval Letter (VAL) to obtain a Mobility Pass with a duration of study of 3 - 12 months from the Malaysian Immigration through the university.
Health Insurance
Students are required to purchase health insurance that covers personal accident, inpatient treatment, repatriation, death, and other additional terms necessary while in Malaysia.
Arrival and Accommodation
Students are required to arrive at the university 3 days before the official orientation program starts. The university offers various accommodation options, including:
- KLG Campus Residence
- Scholars Inn
- Global Residence Students can also choose to rent private off-campus accommodation.
Dress Codes
Students are expected to be clean, well-groomed, and dressed in a manner appropriate to Malaysian customs or norms. Students must maintain a professional appearance by wearing collared shirts/t-shirts, shoes, slacks or long skirts while attending classes and/or on official visits to faculties/administration buildings.
Program Completion
All students are required to fill in the inbound mobility survey form and will be entitled to official program certificates from the university's international office. Students must also submit their passport and documents needed for visa cancellation purposes.
