Master of Language in Communication and Digital Culture
The Master of Language in Communication and Digital Culture is a Master's programme that focuses on the study of language in communication with an emphasis on the elements of digital culture.
Mode of Programme
The programme is offered in a Taught Course / Open Distance Learning (ODL) mode.
Duration of Programme
The duration of the programme is 2-8 semesters, subject to the current lesson plan and UTM academic regulations.
Admission Requirements
- CGPA ≥ 2.5 for the Bachelor Degree in Language and Communication or related field from UTM or any other recognized university by Malaysia; or
- Bachelor's degree or its equivalent but does not achieve at least a CGPA of 2.50; must have five (5 years) work experience in a relevant field
Visa Application for International Students
All international students who wish to enrol in UTM's Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes are required to obtain EMGS Approval for Study prior to admission.
English Requirements for International Students
International students who wish to enroll in the postgraduate programs at UTM must meet the English language competency requirements as stipulated below:
- Malaysia University Entrance Test (MUET) with a minimum score of Band 4.0 and above; or
- IELTS with a minimum score of Band 6.0 and above; or
- TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of 60 and above; or
- Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE), C2 Proficiency (CPE), with a minimum score of 169 and above; or
- Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic with a minimum score of 59 and above; or
- Certified Intensive English Programme Level (CIEP Level) achieving Level 109 and above.

- Registration Fees: RM 670.00 (payable on the first semester)
- Service Fees: RM 1,470.00 (payable every semester)
- Study Fees: RM 290.00 for 1 credit (RM 870.00 for 3 credits)
International
- Registration Fees: RM 2,670.00 (payable on the first semester)
- Service Fees: RM 1,470.00 (payable every semester)
- Study Fees: RM 580.00 for 1 credit (RM 1,740.00 for 3 credits)

Notes
All fees are subject to changes. The study fee rate will be determined based on the number of credit hours registered within the period for Amendment of Course Registration. Course Withdrawal after the Amendment of Course Registration period will not affect the fees for the semester.
