Master of Disaster Risk Management (MMJDA1CKA) Program Description
The Master of Disaster Risk Management (MMJDA1CKA) program aims to develop professionals equipped with skill sets acquired through education, training, research, and practice. This program utilizes its strong partnership with Disaster Risk Management (DRM)-related agencies, NGOs, and local governments to achieve its goals.
Program Objectives
The program's ultimate goal is to establish a network of DRM professionals who can work together in building disaster resilience in their respective countries and communities. Students will be part of a network of DRM professionals consisting of people from various countries and backgrounds.

- Total Credits to Graduate: 42 Credits
- Total Years to Graduate: 1 Year (2 semesters + 1 short semester)

Entry Requirements
1. Program Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering or related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.5/4.00 from institutions of higher learning recognized by the UTM senate.
- For other degrees than those mentioned above or CGPA of less than 2.5/4.00, a minimum of five years of working experience in the related field is required.
2. English Language Requirements (For International Students)
International students need to meet specific English requirements to study at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
3. Health Requirement
International students must be certified by a medical doctor to be in good health for the issuance of a student pass and/or student registration.
4. Student Visa
International students are required to have a student pass to study in Malaysia. UTM will assist international students in obtaining a visa and student pass.
