PROGRAMME INFORMATION

The Master of Engineering (Structure) programme is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in the field of civil engineering, with a focus on structural engineering. The programme consists of a total of 46 credits and can be completed in 4 semesters (2 years).

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

The programme structure includes:

• University general courses (6 credits)
  • PRINCIPLE OF ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT (3 credits, Lecture)
  • RESEARCH METHODOLOGY (3 credits, Lecture)
• Core courses (18 credits)
  • ADVANCED STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS AND MODELLING (3 credits, Lecture)
  • CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY (3 credits, Lecture)
  • STRUCTURAL ASSESSMENT AND REHABILITATION (3 credits, Lecture)
  • ADVANCED DESIGN OF STEEL AND COMPOSITE (3 credits, Lecture)
  • ADVANCED DESIGN REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURES (3 credits, Lecture)
  • STRUCTURAL DYNAMICS (3 credits, Lecture)
• Elective courses (12 credits) subject to faculty offers for every semester
  • ELECTIVE 3 (3 credits, Lecture)
  • ELECTIVE 4 (3 credits, Lecture)
  • ELECTIVE 5 (3 credits, Lecture)

• Master project/dissertasi (10 credits)

TUITION FEES

The tuition fees for the programme vary according to location and programme, and are subject to change. The current fees structure is as follows:

• Kuala Lumpur: RM 24,000 (Pesisir Blended)
• Kota Kinabalu, Sabah: RM 27,000 (Pesisir Blended)
