Chinese Government Scholarship

Introduction

The Chinese Government Scholarship is a prestigious award that supports international students in their academic pursuits.

Application Time

The application period is from now to February 17, 2023.

   • Majors: Mechanics, Aerospace Science and Technology, Control Science and Engineering, Materials Science and Technology, Transportation Engineering, Physics, Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics, Mechanical Engineering, Management Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Software Engineering
   • Program language: English
   • Students from all countries are eligible

Scholarship Coverage

• Tuition fee waiver
• Free accommodation and medical insurance
• Monthly living allowances (CNY 3000 for master students and CNY 3500 for doctoral students)

Application Requirements

1. Non-Chinese citizens with good physical and mental health, and with no criminal record
2. Applicants applying for the Master program admissions should be under the age of 35
3. Applicants applying for the PhD program admissions should be under the age of 40
4. Language Requirements: Provide the English proficiency certificate (IELTS (6.0 or above), TOEFL (70 or above), other certificate shows English is the teaching language)
5. Have strong academic background, research and innovative ability

Application Procedure

1. Apply on the China Government Scholarship Website (choose Program Type B, enter 10287 (NUAA Agency No.), complete the required information, submit the application online, and download the China Government Scholarship Application Form)
2. Apply on the NUAA application portal (mandatory for all CSC applicants)

Application Documents

• China Government Scholarship Application Form (in Chinese)
• Scanned copy of the passport (valid for more than one year)
• Certificate of the Highest Academic Degree (notarized photocopy in Chinese or English)
• Transcripts of the highest degree program (notarized photocopy in Chinese or English)
• Foreigner Physical Examination Report
• Non-Criminal Letter
• English Proficiency Certificate: IELTS: 6.0 or above, TOEFL: 70 or above; equivalent English proficiency certificate
• Research Plan (specify previous research experience and research plan, no less than 3000 words)
• Recommendation Letters from two professors
• Acceptance Letter from NUAA potential supervisor
• Publications, certificates, or other documents
• Self-introduction video

Preliminary Review

Check whether the applicants' documents are complete. Applicants who pass the preliminary review will advance to the academic review.

Academic Review

Relevant colleges will conduct an academic review/interview to comprehensively examine the applicants' academic background, language proficiency, research ability, or innovation potential.

Final Review and Result Release

The candidates will be shortlisted based on the academic review results. The nomination name list will be submitted to the CSC Council for approval.

Admission

1. Admission letter and visa application form will normally be delivered before July 31, 2023.
2. Registration time: Beginning of September. Exact time will be specified on the Admission Notice.
3. Scholarship owners cannot transfer the university, or change major, or study duration after coming to China.
4. Regardless of admission or not, application documents and fees are non-refundable.

Annual Review

The annual performance of Scholarship owners shall be reviewed every May. Those who fail the annual review will be disqualified for the scholarship next year.
