Biomedical & Pharmaceutical Sciences, B.S.

The B.S. in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences prepares students for careers in the pharmaceutical industry, consumer products, and healthcare. As a B.P.S. graduate, students will be qualified for a range of career options, including research and development, manufacturing, product marketing, and administrative positions within the pharmaceutical industry, as well as careers in research and regulatory oversight within government agencies. It is also an excellent undergraduate degree for those in a pre-health track looking to apply to a professional career pathway.

Major Entry Requirements

• Prospective majors must have an overall GPA of at least 2.00
• Complete all courses on the following list:

• Complete all courses in the following set with a minimum GPA (for the set) of 2.30:
  • BIO 101 (or BIO 110), 103, 220 and 221, 222 and 223
  • CHM 101, 102, 112, 114, 226, 227, and 228
  • CMB 201, 202, and 311
  • STA 308
  • MTH 131 or 141
• Complete URI 101
