Overview

The UX Design Graduate Certificate program will enable students to tackle complex design challenges, create inclusive and accessible solutions, and drive positive change. Students will learn about UX design, UX research, interaction design, information architecture, content design, and usability.

Courses

The program consists of the following courses:

• WRT 501: Ethical Foundations of User Experience (UX)
  • Explores the ethics of designing experiences for users.
  • Students gain an understanding of the opportunities and challenges of UX design and develop strategies to create human-centered, ethically sound designs.
• WRT 502: User Experience (UX) Research and Methods
  • Research, methods, and data analysis in user experience projects.
  • Students design, conduct, and report their own UX studies, as well as communicate results to various stakeholders.
• WRT 503: User Experience (UX) and Microcopy Writing
  • Provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the role and impact of effective writing in user-centered design.
  • Through a combination of theoretical concepts and practical applications, students develop the skills necessary to create clear, concise, and engaging microcopy for digital interfaces and interactions.
• WRT 504: Interaction Design
  • Students develop original concepts and create interactive design using current, industry-standard processes and technologies.
  • Strong focus on designing for real people using applied, hands-on projects.
